The Programs for Educational Opportunity is funded to provide technical assistance and training without charge to state and local public education agencies in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
We deliver sustained, in-depth technical assistance and professional development at the request of states, districts, and public schools, including charter schools, in our service area. The design and delivery of these services is often a multi-step process through which The Programs for Educational Opportunity staff and requesting partners define and clarify goals, plan and carry out activities, and evaluate the impact of our work. We understand that information related to your requests may be sensitive, and we keep all such information confidential.
If you represent a state or local education agency or public school in our region and would like to discuss how the Programs for Educational Opportunity might assist you, please contact our director, Dr. Percy Bates, or the liaison for your state via phone, email, fax, or U.S. Postal Service.
If you are not in our region, you can access information about the regional Equity Assistance Center that serves your state or region, please visit: USDOE’s website.
